  • My Hand Sanitizer Got The Ink Stains Out From My Purse

    One Step Hand SanitizerHad a meeting tonight and I got home and reached into my hand bag to check to see which phone calls I missed while I was busy. Why is it that my hand emerged from my bag covered in goo?! Okay, it wasn’t goo, it was the travel-sized One Step Hand Sanitizer that I carry with me (you can never be too careful).

    Some how the lid came unscrewed and spilt almost its entire contents into the bottom of my Apple Bottom hand bag. At first I was upset, but luckily my cell phone (which has a case) was inside an interior pocket and all that got “gooed up” was some loose change, a pen, a couple of old receipts and the side of my wallet.

    Now, I had some ink stains in the bottom of my purse from when an uncapped pen was floating around in there, and I had always wondered what the best way of getting those stains removed. Hand sanitizer! As I started wiping off the excess alcohol-based hand sanitizer from the inside of my purse I noticed that the ink stains were disappearing. With a little friction of the paper towel the stains were gone!

    I just rinsed out the lining of my purse. Now it smells minty fresh. :)

  • I Need To Wake Up In 4 Hours

    Super-busy week for me!  I’m gonna get some much needed “me-time” and do what I do best:  shopping!  I’m going on a bus tour shopping trip to Erie, Pennsylvania tomorrow morning.  I’ve loving the fact that the Canadian dollar is practically equal to the U.S. dollar now.  Get ready for some bargains!

    Bus leaves at 6am-ish.

    I hope I don’t end up sleeping in.

  • Can Someone Tell Me Why I’m Turbo Jamming at 3am?

    Okay, I know the reason: I didn’t eat a big dinner, and I was feeling rather peckish, so I decided to make some apple crisp at 1am. I’m a night owl, I know. Didn’t eat it until 2am, and I had it with a little bit of low-fat ice cream. Afterwards I felt guilty that I ate so late.

    So I popped in my Turbo Jam DVD and did the 20-minute workout (what a burn!). I feel much better now. Just showered and now I’m off to bed.

    Oh, and sorry that I can’t post the recipe for the apple crisp as of yet. I kinda ate it all before I could take any photos to post. :)

  • You Gotta Love 90’s Music…

    I picked up an interesting freebie at work recently Hits of the 90’s: Classic Music Videos, so I put it in my DVD player to  check out some of the vids, because I didn’t recollect some of the tunes by just the name on the DVD jacket. Eagle-Eye-Cherry’s “Save Tonight”, Ace Of Base’s “All That She Wants”, Joan Osborne’s “One of Us” and Ce Ce Peniston’s “Finally” were just a few of the videos that were on the DVD. I remember watching a lot of them back when MuchMusic actually played music videos instead of crappy reality shows, station-produced celebrity gossip shows, and dozens of daily reruns of So You Think You Can Dance season 2.

    One of the titles that caused a faint recollection was 4 Non Blondes “What’s Up”. After watching the first few seconds of the video I was like, “I remember this song!”.  The funny thing is that I could’ve sworn I heard this song used in something else recently. I couldn’t put my finger on it. Was it a car commercial? Movie soundtrack? Then it hit me:
